Inside the Studio
The process.
Not a tutorial. Not a technique. A slow record of the hours that live inside each piece.
01
Painting
Skin is built in dozens of translucent layers — warm, cool, almost invisible passes that together become believable flesh.
02
Veining
Fine capillaries are drawn where the skin is thinnest — temples, wrists, eyelids. The kind of detail one notices only with time.
03
Mottling
Soft blooms of colour under the surface. The small imperfections that make skin feel alive.
04
Assembly
Each part is weighted, jointed and set with care so the piece rests naturally in the hand.
05
Finishing
Mohair is rooted one strand at a time. Lashes, brows, the softest downy hair — set with a needle finer than thread.
06
Final Inspection
The piece is set aside, returned to days later with fresh eyes, and released only when nothing more can be added.
07
Packaging
Wrapped in soft cotton, nested in a fabric-lined keepsake box, and sealed with the studio mark.
